Join the TKP Team!

At TKP, we believe great design starts with listening. Every home we design is deeply personal — shaped around the people who live there, their routines, their aspirations, and the way they want to experience home. Our process is collaborative from the very beginning, bringing homeowners, architects, builders, and consultants together early to create thoughtful, highly customized residential spaces.

Our studio culture reflects that same philosophy.

We are a collaborative, warm, and highly engaged office where every voice matters. Titles don’t define who contributes the best idea. Whether you’re a recent graduate or a senior leader, you’ll have meaningful ownership over your work, direct exposure to clients and consultants, and the opportunity to help shape projects from concept through construction.

We still believe in the power of hand sketches and hand drafting as an essential part of the creative process. Ideas are explored through conversation, tracing paper, collaboration, and curiosity before they ever become a final set of drawings. Our office values both craftsmanship and innovation — blending traditional design thinking with evolving technology and team-wide knowledge sharing.

The studio itself is focused but social. Some days, everyone is heads-down working toward a deadline. Other days, someone asks a question across the room and three people immediately jump into the conversation. We regularly gather for CAD and technology meetings, lunch-and-learns, project discussions, and mentorship opportunities that encourage continuous learning at every level.

We also believe good architecture requires balance. We discourage chronic overtime, prioritize mental health, and offer flexible schedules with generous PTO because we want our team to have fulfilling lives both inside and outside the office. Many of us are dog lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, and regular participants in Golden traditions — and yes, office dogs are absolutely part of the culture.

Located in the heart of downtown Golden, our studio is surrounded by mountain views, walkable lunch spots, local festivals, and an energetic community atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where work can feel inspiring, creative, and connected to the lifestyle that makes Colorado special.

Most importantly, people stay here. From employees who have grown with the firm for decades to newer team members who quickly find mentorship and belonging, we are proud to have built a studio where people feel supported, challenged, and excited to come to work each day.

If you are curious, self-motivated, collaborative, and passionate about residential architecture, we’d love to hear from you. Please tell us about yourself and what you enjoy! Send your resume and portfolio to lcoleman@tkparch.com.
