Renaissance Landmark – Kitchen Island

RENAISSANCE LANDMARK
This remodel revitalized the character of an Italian Renaissance Revival home designed in 1920 by Burnham Hoyt. The main floor was realigned with Hoyt’s intended style by replacing modifications that were incongruous with the home’s original design, while the upper floor was reorganized for a new master bedroom suite with a roof deck. A new recreation wing was designed according to the Landmark Commission’s guidelines, matching the original structure in color, scale, and rhythm.
