Karen Keating is the President and founder of TKP Architects pc and Structural Design Partnership.
Karen has a Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan and holds NCARB registrations in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Montana. She is a member of both the AIA (American Institute of Architects), and ASID (American Society of Interior designers). She is also on the roster of Neutrals with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) as a construction arbitrator.
Karen has been a judge for the AIA Architect’s Choice Awards, a speaker at the National Custom Homebuilders Symposium, the National Association of Home Builders convention, and for the Denver AIA on mountain architecture. She has developed and taught a continuing education class for the real estate community on reading construction drawings, and other seminars for builder’s groups on communication skills, and Builder/Architect partnerships.
Karen has helped to guide TKP Architects through an award-winning career of over 30 years, and the designs of nearly a thousand custom and spec homes, remodels and commercial projects. TKP Architects has been repeatedly listed on the Top 100 Women-owned businesses in Colorado, and the Top 250 Businesses in Colorado. They are consistently named as one of the Top 100 Architects of the West in Mountain Living magazine, and frequently featured in local and national publications.
TKP has won dozens of local and national awards for residential design, from the Best in American Living Awards to AIA Architect’s Choice Awards, to the prestigious Newman Award presented by the Institute for Classical Art and Architecture.
